A Level History allows you to develop a wide range of transferable skills including analysis, comprehension, research and presentation. As such, it is a subject that is highly valued by both universities and employers. This is a key course if you are planning to continue on to university to study history-related subjects. It also provides a strong grounding or further study in humanities and social sciences. It combines well with subjects such as English Literature, Economics, Maths, Government and Politics.
Minimum grade ‘B’ in History GCSE.
The course is divided into 5 units taught.

Unit1: Tudors
Unit 2: Weimar Republic
Year 13:
Unit 3: USA
Unit 4: Nazi Germany
Unit 5: Non Examined Assessment
All units are worth 20% towards the full A Level.
