SEREN Foundation
The Seren Foundation is for students in years 8-11 at state schools across Wales and is designed to support studies, help learners build confidence, and to make informed choices about their A-Level subjects and route to university if that’s their ambition. This programme offers opportunities to support ongoing learning, and expert guidance to help learners make informed decisions as they prepare to apply to leading universities.
At Lewis School Pengam in the past year, we have had much success.
- One pupil has gained a conditional place at Pembroke College, Oxford to study Law
- Two pupils have gained access onto MBBCh Medicine degrees
- One pupil took part in the Harvard Law School 2020
- Two pupils have engaged in the LEDLET Law Scheme
- Five pupils have been accepted onto Sutton Trust Pathways to Law and Medicine
