Through the Agored Level 2 qualification in Personal and Social Education, you will develop valuable skills and knowledge to improve your personal and social development and emotional health and well-being. You will be supported to become a healthy and confident individual, ready to fulfil your ambitions and live successfully in a fast-changing society.
As well as considering aspects of physical health and sexual health, you will share in discussions around mental health and well-being. You will consider and engage with interesting themes such as tackling bullying, child poverty, sex and relationships education, and substance misuse.
You will also have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in managing your personal finances; saving money, paying bills, managing a budget, reading payslips, understanding deductions, and the dangers of gambling.
In addition to the compulsory lessons that all pupils will take, this subject, is available as an option. If you choose this subject as an option you will gain the equivalent of 2 GCSEs in Personal and Social Education.
There is no specific prior learning.
